Do the writers actually want to write this crap
There is no real answer to why we are so infatuated by celebrities. We as a society, just think its fun to see the lastest gossip news. It is like a car wreck, you cant help but look because you are so interested into what happened. It is ridiculous how all these great writers who have the potential to write important pieces, are stuck writing in a gossip magazine. It is like in that movie “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” where she is forced to write about stupid issues for a fashion/gossip magazine instead of pieces such as politics in which she actually wants to write about. I wonder how many cases of that is going on in the world.

What Defines a Celebrity?
I agree with this artcle 100%. Why do we allow such celebrities to become celebrities. They making fools of themselves and are not great citizens of the world. They receive numberous DUI’s, believe looks are everything, and have sex tapes all over the place. The celebrities that we so call “idol” are not worthy of idolizing. As a society we need to reevaluate what we want in the person we idolize.

Are you celebrity obsessed?
There is a line between enjoying reading celebrity gossip and being obsessed with it. This article tells what signs there are to know if you are celebrity obsessed. Some that i found interesting were.. You consider yourself a diverse reader, by reading multiple gossip magazines…Youve thought about naming your dog the same dog name as your favorite celebrites…youve considered working as a paparazzi. There are thousands of people out there that are totally obsessed with celebrities.

Its our faults
This article is exactly what my proposal essay is about! it says how we are in control of the celebrities’ lives. If we do not give them so much attention then they will cease to exist. We hold the future of celebrities in our hands. It is our faults we allow them to control all the magazine and television shows. Why are celebrities even celebrities. Most do not do anything to deserve this power. So what if they are brought up in a wealthy family, and live extravagent lifestyles compared to most… SO WHAT!

Always on the lookout
Fans will wait in line for hours just to get a glance of their favorite celebrity. They will even go as far as chasing them around the city, somewhat stalking the celebrity. It is absoluty ridiculous the stakes we will go to just to get the slightest look of celebrities. In the cartoon, it says that Madonna has gotten out early… and then shows a crowd of people trying to follow her. People should just go on with their lives and not try to follow the lives of celebrities.

Idolizing Celebrities
The cartoon depicts how we are not suppose to have false idols. It says in the Bible to just idolize god, and no others. With this celebrity obsessed world, many individuals want to be just like celebrities. This is totally going against what the Bible says. Hollywood is full of celebrities who are put on pedestals from the fans. Wanting to be like celebrities who live outrageous, not even good lives, is absurd.
